An astrological workshop inviting you into relationship with the horizon line the moment you were born.
Description:
In astrology, the exact moment you took your first breath, the sky held a particular signature — the sun was rising somewhere on the horizon, and setting on the opposite edge. Astrologers call these two points your Ascendant and Descendant: the Ascendant marks where the sun was rising as you arrived, and speaks to how you meet the world and step into yourself. The Descendant, its mirror on the opposite horizon, speaks to how you're drawn toward others and the relationships that shape you.
You don't need any prior knowledge of astrology to join us. This workshop is an invitation into personal gnosis — your own inner knowing — about what this horizon line means for you. Through guided meditation, group contemplation, and art, we'll explore what these placements on your birth chart might reveal about your relationship to yourself and to others.
This workshop will be guided by Astrologer Katrine Waugh, who has spent 5 years devoted to studying the way the stars reflect life's currents, and is currently pursuing her second astrological certification through Nightlight Astrology.
What to expect:
An invitation to quiet the mind and feel into your relationship with the Earth and sky
Space to share and listen in collective gnosis with fellow participants
An intuitive art-making process, where you create an image of the sky at the moment you were born
Nourishing tea and flower essences to refresh and support you throughout

$40 per person. Hot/cold tea and light refreshments will be served.
This workshop is facilitated by Katrine Waugh
Katrine Waugh she/her is a multidisciplinary artist, astrologer, and diviner devoted to the consciousness of night; the liminal spaces which fertilize our waking moments. Her practice is in attuning to the rhythmic waves of life and trusting that the intelligence of the universe is held within the presence of each moment. She speaks the language of the stars as an invitation to feel the way we belong to this animate universe and to illuminate the path unfolding before and behind you. Katrine is the certification holder of the first year Nightlight Astrology course and is pursuing her second year certification. She is also a student of Britten Larue.
