On Death, Grief & Healing
In this episode I am returning to the podcast after what I believe was a four year pause. About a month after my last episode I suffered a heartbreaking loss in my family, so this episode is me (Diana) discussing my experience and journey with actual heartbreak and walking with death. I share as best I can in a 60 minute segment on some highlights and challenges on the long pause from the podcast. Its a bit of a waffling on as I am still exhausted from it all, but I am grateful to just get back to this podcast and to share with you some insights I have found along the way.
This episode is a bit raw and authentic. I share some stories about past experiences I have had with death as well.
The books I was speaking of in the beginning of this episode are:
The Pretty Painful Grief Book: A Journal To Help You Face Your Pain and Live With Loss by William Hunter Howell
Pretty Painful Grief Letters: For when grief is too big for words — but you need them anyway by William Hunter Howell
I have some more helpful books on death and dying on my resources page: https://mountainhollowmedicinals.com/resources
I have been listening to the All There Is podcast with Anderson Cooper on Grief and community building. Many of the episodes have helped me through some tough moments. I highly recommend tuning in here: https://www.cnn.com/all-there-is-anderson-cooper
Note: While I was away, my podcast host platform shifted over to an entirely new platform. So please bare with me as I relearn how to edit, add music, and remake my intro to future episodes. I promise I am working hard on ways to make this podcast sound better.
