Listening to the sounds of nature around us can do wonders for our state of mind and emotional well being. Just five minutes in your sit spot will recharge your molecular structure, settle your breathing pattern and calm your nervous system.
Ancient indigenous medicine people believed that the root cause of all dis-ease is a disconnect from nature. This disconnection causes an imbalance in the body, allowing inharmonious energies to live within us.
As a mom of two, running a business, and tending to the many things we do here in our home, I find this time can be very challenging. On the other hand you’d be surprised what you can do with five minutes. The more you practice this the more you are able to find the time and even sit while your kiddos are rolling around you in the grass.
I find that my daily conversation with nature, the trees and all beings that I share this space with keeps me healthier than I’ve ever been. There is so much to gain in deepening your reconnection to nature. Even if you feel you are a seasoned earth worker, there are always opportunities to go deeper.
