Hellenistic Astrology with Katrine Waugh

Hellenistic astrology is the old root system beneath the Western astrology we know today. It took shape around the Mediterranean, especially in Egypt under Greek and Roman rule, over roughly eight hundred years, from the late 2nd century BCE into the 7th century CE. It grew where traditions met and mingled: the Mesopotamian habit of reading the sky, the Egyptian decans that divide the heavens into ten-degree stretches, and the Greek love of philosophy and reason. Together they gave us the birth chart, a map of the sky at the moment you arrived, and nearly everything in Western astrology since has grown from it.

In this episode, I speak with Katrine Waugh, who is an experiential astrologer focused on Hellenistic astrology, with a passion for threading astrology into everyday life and inviting people to recognize the impact of their participation in this lifetime.
