New moon feels.

I find that taking a much needed time out during the new moon is the best thing for me. Less screen time, I stop answering the phone, I stay home, say no to as many things as I can, take extra baths and so on. I don’t always get this kind of luxury at this time in my life but I try to be mindful about it.
This is the time in my moon cycle where solitude is important, I’m even more sensitive than normal and need the space. I have two kids but they do listen to me when I close my bedroom door and say I need fifteen minutes. So I try to do that even when the mama guilt waves roll.
The new moon is a wonderful time to spend quietly, within a nourishing space, and practicing lots of extra self care. I find that journaling and coming up with new business or crafting ideas is nourishing as well.
