Dreaming with the universe.
Some years back I had one of the most lucid dreams of my life. It still remains to be so clear in my minds eye, It was the most mystical feeling of complete awe I have ever had.
The dream began in my kitchen, I was cleaning up after a meal and I noticed the bright milky light of the full moon outside as I was putting things away. The moonlight was so spectacular that I called to my kids and told them I was gonna run out in the light and enjoy the moon. I went out the back door onto the porch and out to the grassy yard. I looked up to find the moon but it wasn’t in the spot that it should be. It rises in the east and it should be above the house by now, or close to it. But it was not there. I scanned the sky to the west and there above me was a planet. I stood frozen in the dream, in disbelief at what I was seeing. I was very still in the sky, clearer than any night I have seen, much larger than the moon, and it was as if it was peering down at me. I continued to stare as my mind rolled around puzzle piece answers that did not fit.
As I stared at this planet somehow it became clearer. Not only did I feel its presence but there was also an essence to it, a gentle quiet that I had never felt before. I tried so hard to find every detail of this planet as so try and find some kind of answer to what it was. It was mostly water with a thinnish body of land that began wider at the top of the sphere, thinned down the middle, and once again became a bit wider at the base. The land was the distinct color of light brown sand. It was absolutely magnificent. Yet I was still frozen in my stare.
It was then I began to notice something…a sort of geometric shape…lines crossing over and over again. Just as I noticed this it somehow moved a bit closer, as to zoom in slightly, and there it was. A perfect distant outline of some kind of city. The thought of life moved through my mind, my eyes widened, and I felt a sudden sense of urgency in my entire body. As I was about to gasp, I woke up.
I sat straight up in bed, took a moment to attempt to process, got up and headed to the kitchen. I walked straight out my back door into the dark night and stared into the sky in the same direction I did in the dream. I stood there for as long as I could manage and had no other choice but to head back to bed at such a wee hour.
I will never forget that dream. I will never fully know what that dream meant. However, I did feel something deep in my knowing that I had just had the meeting of a lifetime.
Since then I still search for an image of that planet somewhere on the inter webs, or in old books, even folklore and historical writings. Who is this planet?? I still have so many questions, but what I think is most important is this…
The dream space is a vast and open for what we call miracles to occur, but in fact these miracles are something we are simply capable of. We can reach the farthest of places to send and receive messages, help, support, create loving change. You name it. Dreaming is a gift, and ultimate reminder that we are not alone and that our greatest gift is our authentic spirit, who we are before we are born and after we die. Our most authentic form.
I like to teach people how to reach this place in their own inner knowing. To guide others in their connection to the messages in their dreams, because those messages are most always coming from your own wise spirit. But sometimes, there are those deeply lucid dreams of possibility and awareness of where we truly are, and how powerful this planet and the planets themselves are. A potent reminder of just how deep our connection to our beloved planets go. Was it a planet that exists now? Was it a new Earth from the future? I may never know. But the power if dreaming is what I do know and what I love to explore most.
