Our Rhythm is Nature's Rhythm

Before I knew what ✨Craniosacral Therapy✨ was, I didn’t know we had other rhythms in the body besides our breath and heartbeat. When I first felt someone’s craniosacral rhythm my jaw simply dropped. It was the most subtle, gentle, and regulating experience I’ve ever felt. My eyes widened as if I had discovered something miraculous and I released my hands to process what I’d felt.

A small whisper of water had graced my palms with just enough pressure to feel what I can only describe as the air moving from a butterfly wing. I fell instantly in love with this modality and dove in head first with a thirst to learn like no other.

As I continue to educate myself and learn from every client I work with, what stays with me the most is our inherent and deep connection to nature. This connection plays out in every craniosacral session I offer because I get to listen to your rhythm and converse with your most inner wisdom. When I speak to your inner wisdom there is no doubt that I am speaking directly to the universe within you.

So after 3 years of learning, when I watch the ocean move, inwards and outwards, it’s not the tides I am seeing. What I now know I am witnessing is the sacred waters within us all, the flexion and extension of a breathing organism. Watching the rhythm of the sea is the closest I may ever get to witness the craniosacral rhythm with my eyes. The motion and timing of the waves moving towards us and away from us on the beach replicates the CS rhythm in the body so beautifully. It is said that the six second movement mirrors the six second flexion and extension of our craniosacral fluids.

Always a student, always a teacher, always coming with curious and loving intentions to this beautiful place we get to exist, and witnessing just how deeply intertwined we are with all of nature brings me home every time. 💚
