Mending Monday Series - On Grief

  • Mountain Hollow Medicinals 603 Urie Road Craftsbury, VT, 05827 United States (map)

In this new class series, Diana offers a space to begin a new mending project or continue working on a current one while combining a focused time to work with our hands, teach each other new techniques, and also be held in a space to discuss an important life topics on healing.

Each Mending Monday will be a different topic and this one will focus on the grief process and all that comes with it. This will be a time to share your grief stories and be heard, share how you are moving through your process and even express your needs. Working on our mending project while moving through this discussion is intentionally meant to help the brain, physical body, and emotional body process what might need to be moved and/or released at this time. This is a subtle and gentle technique that can truly support the brain and limbic system to take a rest.

Diana has has many years of experience in Death Doula work with the dying and the dead, and is currently working towards her Craniosacral Practitioner training on death and dying. It is important to Diana to simply create more healing community circles and spaces in which we can support each other. Diana will also be sharing supportive resources such as books, audiobooks, podcasts, and local support systems for grieving.

The cost of this gathering supports the space we host these gatherings in along with helping us stock the mending basket so we can offer supplies to those who may need starter projects materials. If you would like to bring any mending supplies such as embroidery thread, knitting and crochet needles to add to our basket that you no longer need please do.

Diana’s primary mending practice is embroidery and crochet and can offer you new and basic techniques and resources on learning more. Those with skills in other mending techniques are welcome to show us their skills too!

Cost for the class is $25 per person. Register at the button below.

June’s Mending group discussion will be on Dreaming.
